The shape of your face has a fundamental role in the choice of hairstyle. A haircut that looks good in a heart-shaped face, not necessarily look good in a person with a round face.
There are a number of flattering cuts for each type of face: oval, long, square or heart shaped.
There are seven basic face shapes:
Oval
Considered the most expensive form of the ideal and versatile hair expert, hair cuts and styles suit an oval face. However, the best styles to go are those with up to layers had the best features, such as cheeks, lips and chin. Short layers on top of the head should be avoided as they make the face look longer, while ladies with an oval face and curly thick hair should avoid blunt cut, since it looks like a pyramid.
Round
This facial type has a round chin. Hairstyles that add height on top of the head. You have to cut most of the sides of your face to make it look oval. Therefore, long hair cut short blunt or short hair should be avoided. Width of a hair has to be minimized on the sides and around the ears, keeping planes at those points. Wispy tapered ends take care of the roundness of the face. Hair Styles that fall just below the chin and the layers from top to bottom, elongated face and look good.
Square
Facial shapes that have a square jaw line and hair is too short, you need a hairstyle that gives the length and roundness of it. The hair in layers around the jawline softened a bit while wispy hair take the attention away from the squareness of the face. Layered haircuts that frame the face are best for square faces. Best options are the shortcuts, or long-nosed style, elegant, layered top down from the jaw line. Blunt bangs cut or shaken to chin look more square than the face.
Rectangular
Form of long, narrow face with a square chin and hairline is known as a rectangular face shape. Cut rectangular facial hair to add width to the sides, subtract its length by adding a strip in the front and a style that has a side part to soften the squareness of the face. Haircuts too long or shorter than the face look longer while chin-length bobs and haircuts add width to the face. Another way is to add width to add curls and waves in her hair. However, short layers give volume to the top part lengthen the face, then the balance.
Heart
This face shape is wider at the temples and narrow at the jaw line with a small, delicate chin, noting times. Hairstyle for this shape is necessary to add width at the jawline. The eyes and cheekbones are often the strengths of the heart-shaped face. Women with short hair can keep the top layers soft and long or side bangs swept, while women with long hair can try long, wavy layers that come through their cheeks that give it a rounded appearance to the pointed chin . Harsh choppy layers or blunt injuries are not adjusted to cut a heart shaped face.
Pear
This face shape has a narrow forehead and jaw wide, with a round chin. Attempt to add the width of the forehead and temples, taking attention away from the roundness of the jaw. The hair should appear wide and full at the top and temples and could be used away from the face and into the ear. Below the ears, the hair should fall along the chin to soften and reduce the jawline. Long hair is the best chin. Decrease the volume of the hair on top, sides and around the ears. Curls around the temples will soften the face.
Diamond
Wider in the forehead, but narrow at the forehead and chin, hair styles for a diamond face add the width of the forehead and soften or disguise the cheekbones to give an illusion of the oval face. Add more space and volume in the forehead and chin while smooth hair compliment the cheekbones better. A side parting and sweep under the hair in the front, adding width to the face and make it look shorter. Asymmetric haircuts look good too, along with adding to the volume of hair curly or wavy styles.
