Now that I have natural hair, my thoughts about the big hairstyles have changed. My preference is for easy styles that stay at least a couple of days. My hair type is 4B. Those of you with natural African American hair know what that means. Is a type of curly hair. Two of my great hairstyles are as follows:
Twist-out: A curly hairstyle that works well with natural hair and no frizz if done correctly.
Instructions - Wash and condition hair and tangles. Apply a conditioner. Part in small sections. Take one section at a time and make the hair is wet. Re-wet, section by section, if necessary. Apply a small amount of natural oil in the section (for example, olive, johoba, coconut). Apply hair gel to the section. Divide the section into two parts. Rotation of the two pieces together. Repeat with a small section at a time until all the hair that has been done. Sit under the dryer for about an hour or let it air dry for as long as necessary. Undo the twist, not a comb. You can divide each half plaited hair once to achieve a fuller look.
Updo: This style requires that covered her hair in a style such as a French roll.
Instructions - For best results, first blow dry tangle of hair washing and conditioning. I can make a side part and the smaller brush back to the center of my neck and forks instead (closed) in a vertical line from the nape to the crown. Then I brush the other side cover back so that the line of barrettes that I just inserted. I put the hair in it are not showing the ends and the pins are covered. Pin the hair up. This is where a lot of pins (the open) are required. Forks quality help, because if properly fitted, they are barely noticeable and the hair stays in place.
